Komutátory

Komutátor rotující část elektrického stroje, složená z měděných klínových lamel, elektricky navzájem izolovaných slídovou izolací, u malých strojů termosetickou pryskyřicí. Lamely, k níž jsou připojeny předepsaným způsobem vývody cívek vinutí kotvy, tvoří dutý válec, který je elektricky izolovaně spojený s hřídelem motoru. Komutátor má funkci usměrňovače, střídavé napětí indukované ve vinutí kotvy se mění na napětí stejnosměrné. Komutátor slouží ke změně kmitočtu proudu kotvy nebo napájecí sítě. Prostřednictvím komutátoru se proud do kotvy přivádí (motor) nebo se z kotvy odvádí (dynamo).
