1. Remove the old carbon brush:

• Carefully open the cover of the power tool according to the instructions (if available) or using a suitable tool. Most power tools have access to the brushes through special flaps.
• Measure the dimensions of the old brush – take precise measurements: width, height and length. Even if the brush is worn out, you can draw conclusions based on its shape and size.

2. Determine your brush type:

• Pay attention to the shape of the brushes – they are most often rectangular, but they can have different shapes and tips (e.g. springs, clamps, etc.).

3. If you don't have an old brush:

• Open the cover of the power tool and carefully measure the slot where the carbon brush was installed. Measure the width, length and depth of the slot.
• Pay attention to how the brush is attached – some brushes have additional springs or clamps. It is important to choose a brush that is compatible with this attachment system.
