If the model/brand of the device is not listed, the circuit breaker should be dismantled and compared to the dimensions given in the quotation.

Mounting hole measurement

• The first step is to carefully measure the hole where the switch will be mounted. It is important that the selected switch fits into this hole without the need for additional modification of the housing. Sometimes this is necessary due to interruptions in the production of switches.
• To accurately determine the diameter of the mounting hole, it is worth using a caliper.

Installation depth

• Switches vary in the depth they take up when installed. Check how much space you have inside the tool housing for installation. A switch that is too deep may not fit or interfere with other components.
• The installation depth includes both the part protruding outwards and the inner part where the cables are connected.

External dimensions of the switch housing

• In addition to the mounting hole, pay attention to the outer dimensions of the switch housing, especially for switches of unusual shapes (e.g. rectangular or square).

Switch shape

• Switches come in a variety of shapes: round, rectangular, square, etc. Choose a shape that suits the installation location. A switch that is too large or too small may not perform its function ergonomically or visually.

Sometimes it will still be necessary to modify the housing to install the universal switch.
