The RT 8802 temperature controller ( hereinafter referred to as RT) is intended for temperature control in devices supplied with alternating electric current , such as e.g. water heater. RT does not serve as a switch .

RT is a single-pole capillary temperature controller based on the principle of fluid expansion . The RT consists of two basic parts - a switching device and a capillary temperature sensor . There is a protective earth pin on the cover . The controlled temperature can be set by the user within the control range , including the use of RT as an antifreeze fuse .
