  • general information
Prior to startup, read this entire "Installation, Operating and Maintenance Manual for Gear Units" carefully
and variators. It is essential to follow the instructions in this manual. TOS ZNOJMO assumes no responsibility
for damage to the health of persons, animals, goods and property caused by non - compliance with these instructions, operator error or
incorrect use of gearboxes and variators. Fast-wearing parts such as shaft seals are excluded from the warranty
see Purchase Agreement.
For gearboxes that are equipped with an electric motor, the instructions for the electric motors must be observed.
Gearboxes and variators are delivered after testing and running-in without load in the production plant.
If you are unclear about the contents of this manual, please contact Milan Seifert - ELEKTRO.

  • ATTENTION!!!
The selection of individual gearboxes and variators for the intended use is carried out according to the relevant catalogs, which
contain information on individual types and useful properties (eg permitted radial Frad and axial Fax
load, output torque T2, efficiency, etc.). An authorized person who installs gearboxes or variators
into the machinery, is obliged to incorporate this technical information into its technical documentation and attach it
“Installation, operation and maintenance instructions for gearboxes and variators and instructions for electric motors for complete users
machinery. Failure to do so may result in improper use and void the warranty.

  • Use of gearbox and variator
Gearboxes and variators are used to create rotary motion and are designed to be built into industrial machinery and equipment.
The gearbox or variator is connected to the machine as standard with a hollow shaft or a pin output shaft.
Gearboxes and variators are designed for the operating environment in the range of ambient temperatures (-20 ÷ +40) ° C in a chemically harmless
an environment that does not degrade the gearbox housing (aluminum alloy), does not reduce the ability of the sealing rings and does not damage
surface varnish for gearboxes and variators.
Incomplete machinery must not be put into service until conformity has been verified and a declaration has been issued
on the conformity of complete machinery into which it is to be incorporated in accordance with the provisions of Directive of the European Parliament
and Council 2006/42 / EC (NV No. 176/2008 Coll.).
Upon request, a “Declaration on the installation of incomplete machinery by the manufacturer in the sense of EU Directive 2006/42 / EC (NV No. 176/2008 Coll.) May be sent.

  • ATTENTION!!!
Operation in explosive atmospheres (ATEX) is not permitted.

  • Safety couplings and switches
In the planned use of a gearbox or variator with shock loads or the possibility that the gearbox will block
or variator, the machinery must be supplemented with safety switches or couplings. This safety precaution is necessary
to be implemented even if the risk is not completely ruled out. Failure to observe this precaution could result in a hazard
persons, animals, to cause damage to property and loss of warranty.

  • Radial Frad and Axial Fax Loads
ATTENTION!!!
The mounted parts on the input and output shafts must not exert a radial or axial force greater than that required.
listed in the catalog of gearboxes and variators (permissible radial forces Frad and axial Fax). Especially for belts and chains
the correct settings need to be taken into account. Further forces acting on unbalanced charges are not permitted. Radial forces
it must always act as close as possible to the gearbox. If the radial load remains large or a force acts on the shaft journal in
long distances, external bearings must be chosen to absorb these forces
